The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Childhood and Early Year Studies (Top-up) programme is a Direct Honours Degree with dual specialisations offered by Northumbria University. The Degree is 100% assignment-based with no examinations.
The Degree is designed to help you make a difference in the lives of children. You will draw upon your own experiences in engaging with contemporary issues such as children’s rights, education, disability, health, poverty and war through the analysis and examination on research, children’s literature, historical documents, film, TV and other mediums. You will also gain insights into, and knowledge and understanding of, a range of issues relating to childhood, children, young people and society.
